39 110 window trim

I'm doing the burl wood graining on the dash for a local 39 110 coupe here in town. The car is being restored and is beautiful, and almost finished. The window trim on the car is presently painted. Does anyone know if the coupe had painted or wood grained finish on the window trim?

My friend has decided that he will keep the painted window surrounds, but I'm doing the dash in a burl finish, using the Grain-it Technology kit. Here are some progress photos. I sanded it, put on three coats of primer and sanded it with 2000 grit paper. After a few days of drying, I put the ink pattern on. I'll let it dry a day or so, then apply a toner to bring out the pattern, then three coats of clear and then polishing compound.

Here's a photo of the newly re-grained dash back in the car. It is a 39 110 coupe. The next photo is a close up of the dash before the final polishing. The car is located in Columbus MT. I'll get the numbers for the records.

David,

O_D, Dave, is the guy gathering the theft proof and body numbers. I'm sure he'll see it.

Got the numbers and entered into the database, thanks. Closing in on 3400 sets of data of which I'd estimate about 600 or so are from the original selling dealer's records and on those we have paint & trim, motor #, key numbers, usually the axle ratio and name/address of the original purchaser, sometimes with trade-in and trade-in allowance. I expect I'll pick up perhaps another dozen or so sets of data on the Henry Joy tour, coming up in about 2 weeks.
