I know I have asked many questions about my 37 115 C but this is the first time that I have ever removed its power train. I am very grateful to those of you who have helped me with advice along the way.I forgot to mention what is the best way to remove the shifter before removing the power train ? I'm assuming from the top.

no need to remove the top....just unbolt the trans from the bellhousing, etc., and lift it out/up though the removed floorboard area.
