Factory 2 x 4 bbl, not on your life. Perhaps a dealer installation, perhaps done later, there was no factory option or build code for that - a Caribbean only feature at the factory level. As to the tach, I don't know but I suspect it's just an common aftermarket unit from many years later with a custom face plate.

The 56 barn find from Sacto......it looks strange. No gear selector on column. Looks like a shifter protruding from the trans hump.

Agreeing with O_D on the "factory" 2X4 carbs. It is "factory" all right, but the factory is Cadillac! See the chevron on the top? That's really an inverted "V" as Cadillac put the "V" on theirs and mounted their 2X4 air cleaner setup backwards of the way Packard did. Cadillac also painted their units gold.

Also doubting the "Packard" tach; stylistically it doesn't match the rest of the gauges and the top of the "k" in the Packard script tilts way too far to the right. I don't think Packard would have released it looking like that.

Thanks Don. A 15-19K car plus the value of the caddy setup.
Dealer is on crack but can always dream.

You gotta give the dealer credit for a very creative imagination, but then several demerits for talking through his hat and playing fast and loose with Packard history. It's still an interesting car, although I don't see the PAC awarding it the Nance Trophy for originality and authenticity.
