I seem to remember adds for high speed gears in the past? However I can not seam to find any now, online or in Hemmings. Are they still being produced? Other option would be overdrive unit, Does anyone have any info on venders or installing in a 33 Supper Eight? Thanks for the help. Dell PS I talked with a friend in our region who has a 36 1400 that has an overdrive that he believes was supplied by Packard dealers, attaches to the 3rd member.

Dell, it is seem not seam. They sound the same, but have different meanings. I like reading your posts as they ask interesting questions and impart good advice. So, not to get caught up in the spelling, but rather in the meaning.

Latest GEERS were mfg by PHIL BRAY out of Mich. Phils gone to the PACKARD Factory in the Sky. Picked up rummors that someone was picking up the remanufactoring. I have 2 '34s and both have hi sp gers and love it.

1100 with DEVERCO (mfg in the 60s)
1104 with Phil Hill (70s to 90s)

Good Morning...You might try Mitchell Manufacturing in Colusa, California. 800-859-2088. They have been building underdrives and overdrives for many years. I have one in a Model A Ford and it is all Mechanical and works great. Ernie

I have several friends in the local Model A club who have added Mitchell Overdrive on their cars, and they all love it. It allows them to drive the A's at 60 (which is really fast in a car with skinny tires and mechanical brakes) at a comfortable engine speed.

Gear Vendors makes a robust quiet unit. The following shows the installation I did on a '32.
