I returned from Oklahoma last week and picked up a car I bought almost a year ago. It took a year for the man to clear a route to the outside of a big building full of cars. It is a 1946 Custom Super Clipper LWB 8 Passenger Sedan. It was sold by Jordan Motors of San Diego California on 11-18-46. The anti theft number is 688462. It's mostly complete but it is missing a few items, of which I will post later in the for Wanted/For Sale forum. It has had it's engine replaced, but the original was beside the car. (was buried when I first looked at the car). The head on the engine in the car shows 327 Thunderbolt. and the casting date was in 1948. I will purchase the original motor and have it delivered by the end of the year. I have included a picture of a truck that is my shop tow vehicle. It is a 1954 F350 Express. This same truck was in the 1988 movie BeetleJuice and was driven my Micheal Keaton.

I also will be making my 1937 138CD blog a Don's Garage Blog as I have 5 packards, 2 Borgward Isabellas, and a 1954 Ford F350. But I will try to have my postings at least 90% on the Packards.

I will include this car in the owner database later today, As I know I will be prompted to by the Packardinfo Statesman from Oz.

Hi Don 37

Glad another Packard found safe harbor with an appreciative owner. Looks to be a good solid car, good luck with its restoration.

By the way, your '54 Ford truck, except for color, reminds me of one I had contact with over forty years ago. That one belonged to the widow of the local Ford dealer, Bernice Tunningley. It was a big green bear of a rig, a real handful to drive and ride in, had a stump-puller low gear.

.....epigram time.....
Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.
