The customer lounge - would have been a suitable location for Packard talks.

With the last pictures above, the time travel to Mr. Moody in Shanghai comes to ...

Mr Moodys showroom is a far cry from the modern counterpart. I just spent the better part of a day sitting in a fairly new Ford combo showroom and sitting area waiting on my truck. Another several hours in a new Kia showroom when I decided to augment the failing truck. The closest thing to amenity in either place was a free cup of coffee -- you can forget about any comfy couches and chairs.

From what I remember the last time I was in the local Cad and Lincoln showrooms there was little difference. I am afraid luxury and creature comforts are a thing of the past.

Mercedes Benz of Austin goes to great lengths to cater to the comforts of their customers. There are comfortable chairs with tables and a TV in the lounge area. Here we can enjoy a nice beverage and snack while awaiting our cars to be serviced and returned. It is a first class operation. Of course, it is proximate to the show room so one can think about their next Benz. Across the driveway is a nicely outfitted store where one can purchase parts and all the clothing and accessories with the M B brand. In addition, they offer complementary car washes. Just call for a reservation and then get your car washed for free while enjoying a nice fresh brewed cup of coffee and snack.

Mr. Moody wasn't heard from for a couple of years. But now comes a snippet.

Gerd,

Your continuing efforts to impart history, particularly Packard related or specific history, is highly commendable. Long may you continue to impart these "snippets" to this eagerly awaiting audience.

Mal, thanks for the good words. What a pleasure to packardinfo you for a decade.

Have we ever seen a Chinese Packard advertisement at PackardInfo.com?
