Recent information for the 1941 Packard with air conditioning has led to an optional cellarette bar console attached to the rear of the front seat. It housed glassware, liquor storage and it claimed to make two trays of ice cubes while traveling in the air conditioned car.

Does anyone own such a 1941 Packard with a cellarette? I would like to feature it in my book about the history of air conditioning.

I have attached an article and picture of the cellarette from 1940.

Where else have you posted your request?
Have you tried the Packard club website?

Any of the other club websites?
Contacted any of the museums?

Maybe a broader request may yield something.

Does the parts manual give you any idea if it was more than a show car eye catcher?
Maybe look thru the parts manual under the A/C parts, and see.

I've seen one.

Do you know if the car still exists?

Can you describe the cabinet work? Did the owner have any luck in making ice cubes? I wonder how it was accomplished.

Would you have a picture of it?

I can't do the digging right now, but it was reported as a recreation to the original design. As I recall it was a blond wood construction against the back of the fromt seat.
