Anyone have a picture that they can post showing the stock mounting of the 1956 (not 1955 since they are somewhat different) Torsion-Level control box, stone shield and intermediate rod to the main T-L bar? Neither the service manual nor the parts book exploded view are very helpful.

The clamp on the long bar and turnbuckle & rod assy location is identical between 55-6. The control switch mounts the same way and in the same location as 55. The main difference between the two switches is the 56 has the weathertight wire & terminal enclosure on the bottom rather than the three exposed screws.

Stone shield mounts between the control switch and compensator so that the inner limit switch and wiring is sort of protected from a direct gravel hit. It was a late addition and not all cars had them. I can't see mine well enough to know if there was any appreciable difference from the factory installed piece and the one that was suggested dealers were to make and install.
