I ordered two sample spray panels from TCP Global "Restoration Shop" One for 1939 Packard Maroon which is just a paint and not metallic. And one panel of 1939 Packard Loyola Maroon Poly which is a metallic.
That will give me a chance to see which maroon I like better.

When we actually buy the paint we will probably buy an acrylic urethane as it should be harder than an acrylic enamel. Your Comments on enamel vs. urethane appreciated

I will post a photo of the samples when they arrive.

I used TCP Global products from primer to base to clear coat and I'm 100% satisfied with their Restoration products. Living close by, I visited and toured their plant several times and they have a class operation. While they cannot say who makes their paint, a tour shows that they have hundreds of 55 gallons drums of PPG paint that they off load into their brand.
