Hello, I have come across a "Triumph" Boston Auto Gauge I was told this was used on a 1922 Packard also told several cars from 1905-1928 used this type of tank gauge. Can anyone verify this? I've attached photos of the Gauge also with the Gauge face unscrewed.

Interesting. Is this the type that was attached to the gas tank? JWL

Yes, I believe you had go over to the gauge to check the fuel. But I'm not 100% sure. I was kind of hoping someone new something about this, I found the patent on a Google search showing this same exact gauge.

This is the "Triumph" fuel gauge as originally fitted to my 1922 Packard. Its mounted on the tank behind the spare wheels and is virtually impossible to see.
Internally it has an arm with a float at one end and small bevel gears to drive the needle at the other end.
