Got the trunk seal installed. Kit from Steele Rubber is an exact fit. Used a gel contact cement rather than the more liquid variety. Easy install, nice tight seal for the trunk, no more puddles!

Got the rear window trim installed. First had to fabricate the small trim piece that covers the gap at the bottom of the window. Slightly more difficult than I anticipated but now firmly in place. Rear glass is next as soon as I can get some friends to help.

Pulled the filter/pump/regulator off to install a bypass line around the Carter electric pump. Originally the pump was in the direct line to the mechanical pump, afraid it would not pass fuel when off. Had to bypass the filter to make it easier to install the bypass, have another filter at the carburetor. Rear glass is next.

Got the rear glass installed in both back windows of the Club Sedan. The second was a lot easier than the first. The channel on the inside of the inner panel of the first window was bent and the regulator stud kept popping out. Once I figured out the problem it was fairly easy to install the regulator and glass. Fits nice and tight in the new weather strip. I'll tackle the front door glass next.

Finally got the car back on the ground with the new wheels and tires. It's starting to look more finished, but still have a ways to go. Pushing hard to get it on the road for the Florida Packard Club show in mid-November.

This is going to be such a beautiful Packard and so well restored. I am a member of the Florida Packard club, also.
This will be a great addition to the show so I hope you can make it.

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Had some friends come over Sunday morning to install the windshield. Took 2 people on the inside pushing out and 1 on the outside pulling the 1/8" parachute cord in the flap with lots of soapy water. Went in fairly easily.
