Good Evening...The Egyptian looks great and it seems to me that the Pontiacs had something similar for a period of time. Ernie in Arizona

Yep! 49-50 shoebox Fords had a poor copy of the Egyptian. We had a 1950 Ford new. From 49 they changed the hood Orn, door handles, trunk handle, hood(F-O-R-D, 49),(hood emblem 50).
And I can't remember something I did yesterday??

Amen, Randy...I think that many of us have that problem a little or a lot! This business of growing older is not for the timid! Ernie in Arizona...What day is today, anyway?

Dave mentioned 3 ornaments for Series 22/23. My base model '49 Club Sedan came with a 4th, looks like a stylized airplane. I've been collecting hood ornaments over the 5 years that I have worked on the car. Found a nice Goddess of Speed and was going to use that until a friend loaned me a fairly nice Cormorant. I had the base re-chromed and bought another Cormorant in need of re-chroming. Will get it done as soon as I can come up with $350 in my budget. Of all the ornaments, I like the Cormorant the best!

The picture is my collection:

Airplane on top, Goddess of Speed in middle and Cormorant to be re-chromed on the bottom.
