One of my favorite prewar models but it appears that at least the front bumper and grill are listed in a separate auction.

I don't see any evidence that they've got Lot Numbers for anything, so you may be incorrect. The bumper and grille are just pictured in a separate photo, albeit later on down the gallery.

If anyone here attends this auction, please give us a report. If you're the buyer of this rarity, please tell us and show us all about your new acquisition.

By the interest shown here and on the AACA Forum posting (I can't keep a secret), this Sport Brougham should be on its way to a restoration shop forthwith.

Hi

Just a bump to keep this gem in the forefront of attention.

This likely will be your only chance of a lifetime to acquire such a highly-desirable Packard. If you are in the position to do so and give it the proper restoration it richly deserves, don't allow this opportunity to pass you by.

Actually, two really nice ones were for sale recently. So, I wouldn't say this is your only chance in a lifetime. It might be the only chance in a lifetime to start with one in such bad condition, though, with a chance that some of the really hard-to-find parts are missing.

Quite true, West. There have been at least two finely restored examples offered of late. Still, the Sport Brougham is a design tour-de-force on par with the Darrins, as well as rare at only 99 so bodied. Approximately 20 still are extant, we can't afford to lose any more, even if the car needs significant restoration work.

Might be nice to have a link to this auction item. For the internet challenged, the link above goes to a house. What am I doing wrong?

To reply for the sole purpose of dissecting West's comment, I know of at least 3 other 41 LeBaron's that are also restoration projects. Oh, wait, maybe Kanter still has their disastermobile too...that'd make 4 available in "bad" condition....
