At which intervals would it be advisable to rebuild the BTV? In my case I bleed the brakes (DOT 4) every second year, and the piston is stainless. During the winter the car is stored in a dry place.

I had one of mine examined 15 years after a rebuild, the car was driven regularly with had occasional fluid changes; but nothing was found at that time that required attention. My other one went as long as I owned the car (about 12 years) and I never had the BTV serviced and never had a problem; likewise that car was used regularly and had occasional fluid changes.

Thanks. Then I should on the safe side, it's only eight years since I had a rebuild, and never have had any problem!
