I am considering purchasing a Light 8 but I have no knowledge of them. What are things to look for & know about the Light 8? I've tried searching the site but there isn't a ton of info on them on here.

Here's a link to the car:https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/packard/900/2294170.html

and a picture below

Beautiful car. Needs a new exhaust, I would say what is fitted is way too small. Some of the details in the engine bay seem a bit off, and I agree about the woodgraining.

I love the color combination - very striking.

Yeah I saw conflicting thoughts on that woodgraining. It's tough because I'd have to liquidate my current 1955 Patrician if I were to go for it.

Trevor, have you considered how the relatively significant differences in the capabilities of the two cars might impact your choices of driving events? To have both as I did with my '56 Caribbean and '34 Eight is heaven, but if you sell of the V8 for the Light Eight, you will find some driving experiences no longer within the capabilities of the vehicle or will require changes in how you will participate in them.

I hadn't thought about that, Owen. But it's moot now; my better half convinced me keep my Patrician because, in his words, I haven't had enough time with it yet.
