GAR's 1957 Clipper

Just picked up a 57 4 door Clipper with 57K miles.

Car turns-over, runs and stops. The Supercharger runs smoothly with very little noise.

Waiting for 40 degree temps and then I can start to dig into this beast.

So far the only thing I need to do immediately is order a carb rebuild kit from Daytona so I can rebuild the carburetor while the snow is still flying.

Very nice! I've always thought that the '57 Clipper was the most luxurious postwar car built in South Bend.

Does it still have the blower setup on it?

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Installed new dual exhaust system to move the one exhaust pipe away from the gas tank. Prior 'mechanic' installed the exhaust pipe about 1/8" away from the tank, now it is almost 2".

Bled brakes several times. Issue was finally found in the upper vacuum power brake unit. 2 small air bubbles.

Flushing radiator and motor over Memorial Day weekend.
