I had a 50 chevy custom 4 door ,which had been stranded at the volunteers of America and the mechanic who they would get to make the donated cars run a
tipped me off ,Alan Michelet was his name ,in New Orleans I drove it for ever ,I sold it to my nephew when he was 15 shipped it out to him you should have seen his face when it showed up , and he rewired it ,loved it made a movie in it drove it all though high school, but on the sale condition that if he ever got tired of it, I got it back for the same 1500 .oo and he did and I did ,then I got to drive it All over again including a cross country trip ,( I passed one car on the trip !) until Katrina ,
I lived off the 2500 base car value minus 1200 depreciation ( those rats) I got from the old car insurance ,none of the other insurance companies paid anything for Katrina losses except the cAr guys .i also lost a 51 Packard ,
Well I ended up swapping her for a old hot rodded nova ( mistake)
And the tradee was digging under the seat ...
What do you know ,a huge diamond ear ring ,he never would tell me what he got for it but he said it was quite a rock
I've since replaced the 51 Pack with a 52 200 touring sedan ,and the 50 custom with a 49 fleet line
The kids about to retire as a dot com computer genius
Looked under your seat lately ?

Well today I was looking at the front seat as it has been covered for sometime. Thinking I wonder how the back comes off. A gentle lift and this what I found plus a old penny.
