Is that the type of clamp they give you to use as a replacement? I had wondered about that. Wasn't the original clamps crimped on around the boot?

The clamps came with the front u-joint kit from Kanter. 95% of the original boot and the clamps were gone on this car at disassembly. I can check my 53 Cavalier original 62K car tomorrow and take a photo.

Is there enough weight at the screw side on the clamps to throw off the balance? If so maybe one should be placed on the opposite side of the driveshaft.
