1946-1947 Hood Ornament Hardware

I am trying to gather together the proper hood ornament hardware to go with a 1946-1947 hood ornament and mine has at least four and maybe five attaching holes. I don't have it here so going from memory but I know that it had only three screws on it (one or two holes were empty) and all three that it did have were 10-24 X 3/8" long slotted head with outside star lockwashers and one also had a flat washer.

The parts book, though, shows only three:

10-24 X 3/8" Screws 2X
10-24 X 1/2" Screw 1X
#10 Cup Washer 1X
#10 outside star lockwashers 3X

The cup washer is the same as that used on Packard in various applications up to 1956 but the screws seem particular to this ornament.

Can anyone advise what it should actually have - how many and washer type for each? I presume that all have the lockwasher but how many have the cup washer (and which holes use it) and do any have flat washers?

I don't know if this will help, the photos are from two different cars.

Wes, that helps a lot in refreshing my memory that there are four and it also helps in that it shows none that appear to require the cup washer. That was one thing I had checked when I last looked at the ornament and none of the threaded posts stuck down below the surface where a cup washer would have been needed. It appears that the parts book is just plain wrong in several details!

Unfortunately the one in the photos appears to have had threaded studs installed instead of the original slotted-head bolts but otherwise it helps.

Wes or anyone else with a 1946-1947 Clipper, were there any cup washers used to hold on the hood ornament and if so, can anyone supply photos and dimensions such as diameter, wall thickness and height? Otherwise can someone supply the dimensions for the cup washers on later ornaments?

They look something like the one in the photo below but are probably more straight-walled and taller.

Thank you! I could see them in memory with straight sides but I wasn't sure of the rest and mine are 550 miles away.
