How available are used running boards or should I just look at Merritt?

it's a high production model for a Packard - I'd try a little searching

Yes, you can try Flackmaster through this site. Another possible source is Ron Aquino. Ron's number is 413-565-2286. No website but email is jrpackardron@aol.com

Can I ask why is the mate so expensive?

I am thinking I could just use the stuff they sell at the home stores?

depends if you want correct pattern and appearance or some black vinyl porch matting. Two approaches, two results, choose which you prefer.

Major cost factor is pattern cost and amortizing that over a relatively small market. I suppose we should be happy that someone has laid out the cash to make the patterns and hope to recover costs and some profit.

I organized a group buy on 35-37 runningboard mats about 3 years ago at substantial discount. The magic number is 10 sets. If there is enough interest, I would consider making the necessary secret handshake inquiry again. Oh, and as for the wiring harness group buy, I need to tie up one final string in a coherent explanation of the difference between the autolite generator/regulator vs. the delco generator/regulator. Shall I start a quickie string on this, or is anyone paying attention here that can assist with an explanation.

I think you're talking 37 only?? At a quick glance, there appears to be two differences. The Autolite reg needs a ground from generator, the first Delco shown does not, second Delco has a place for the ground but if schematics correct, doesn't actually need it. Then there is a physical difference in terminal layout on the regulators. Having the ground and allowing enough pigtail for the various terminal locations would seem to be the major difference.

Hello, how do I get 37 115C runningboard mats, Kantor and Max Merrit want to sell 120 mats that you shorten yourself and live with the 'line'. Thanks, Rich
