SMS in Portland Ore. made the boucle cloth for my interior.
They also dyed the leather based on samples I sent - red, white, and gray and impressed the proper grain, again based on samples.
They also did the cloth and leather for my '56 400. A phone call is cheap, and they are willing to send a sample swatch.

On the Ultramatic question above on the 5682 '56 Patrician etc. '50-'54 the original single speed Ultramatic wasthe only automatic that was available until sometime in mid-'54. Then an optional "Gear Start" Ultramatic was available which started the car in first "gear" if selected and automatically shifted into "second" gear.

In 1955 all automatic cars were equipped with the gear start type, it was renamed "Twin Ultramatic" for its twin speeds.

On SMS, yes they are the best source and in many cases the only source. They do not run just a few yards for a Caribbean, they wait until they get enough orders to make a larger run, that's one reason they can take up to 2 years to do a job. Once again, they're the best and we're lucky to have them as a source

On the Packard hubcaps for Caddy wire wheels. The '77-up Caddy factory wire wheels have a small- about 2"- center cap which we continue to manufacture for the replacement market. There are numerous other aftermarket wire wheels on Caddys, our 53-56 Packard wire wheel cap fits some.

Thanks Fred,
I'm sure if the op gets the Cadillac wire wheels and your center caps,
That 54 will look fantastic!
