I dunno how smooth a Lehigh compressor runs but it appears somewhat similar to a York (Stude and Chrysler used these) and those things ran rougher than a paint mixer with a rock filled can strapped on it and plugged into 220V.

The Sandens are smoother than Guzzler's Gin and more efficient that my previous favorite GM critters.
