Shows promise and glad the guy isn't going to rod it. With the cast iron head, hope that is all that's changed with the engine. I wonder what prompted the addition of the torpedo style lights on top of fenders. Highly visible turn signals??

There is a great photo under the car looking up at the the rear of the rocker panel on the passenger side. It is entirely intact, something I have rarely seen even on really nice cars. The metal is doubled there and the outer layer is usually plastered over. I take that as a very good sign for the rest of the car.

What I think may have happened was this. The original running/turn signal housings were turned into driving or fog lights and some way of showing a turn signal was needed. Thus the extra turn lights were added up top. I have thought about that same idea but the question of where would the turn signals go always stump me. I suppose you could shave off the bumper guards' tips and put them in there for a more integrated look (1956 Desoto or Packup mans blog) or follow Nashs' lead (1949?-1951? front end) and put the turns in the chrome whiskers.
