I have noticed several inquiries about Empire motors. I have been in litigation with them for over 2 yrs now. They have had over 20 actions filed against them in the State of Texas, all for the same reason, ripoff. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! They will take money and parts up front and not complete the project. Others including myself have been taken for thousands of dollars each. Don't take my word for it. It is easy to log on to Texas consumer complaints, and the AG's office. It is all there.

Dave, Empire has been discussed and discussed at length on this forum in the past, you might try the search function to find some history. As I recall Empire is in El Paso, TX.
As I recall they had a corporate name change a couple of years ago - don't know if it was a management/ownership change or just a name change.

I certainly have heard plenty of horror stories about them; my only experience was OK, ordered a set of Packard Twelve heads for a friend and had them within 10 days and the quality was excellent. Still, there must be something behind all the complaints.

PS - just did a search on this site, Empire Motors was previously known as MFT, also in El Paso, TX.

You might want to review some of this thread:

Ditto #1. This song has been sung for years on most any antique car forum, yet somehow people still don't listen...

Funny thing, Dave Fields (of El Paso area) has been peddling a couple (Empire) manifolds of late, in the flesh, so it might be interesting to know a bit of his back story on how he got them, his observations, etc.

Dave?

If you study their website there are a few warnings signs.

a) There are no pictures of facilities, employees, or work being done.

b) If you look at the contacts page their are no named people.

c) The jobs page is a joke. It asks irrelevant questions: "What are you looking for in a job?", Four personal references, and no job descriptions. To me I think it was written by a girl because it looks more like something lifted from an online dating site or escort service.

The location is another warning. El Paso is on the border so any work being done is probably jobbed in Mexico.

So my conclusion is the website is a front for a boiler room operation.

For the 3/8" reach spark plugs? They are attractive. Thanks for the link, Michael.
