It was a 41 120 coupe like yours, same color but hotrod wheels and a sbc.

So, what's wrong with that? After all I was a hot rod guy about 50 years ago.

But, instead of the SBC it would of had a SBF, my dragster had one together with a Packard trans running 2nd and top!
Oh, oh gone again, sorry.

EDIT - Link to recent Facebook posts about the dragster, don't know if it will work.

Wes,

Thanks for going to the trouble of chasing up the video on the hot rodded 41 Coupe. Interesting, but you know what? Only goes to make me realise my tastes HAVE changed over the last 50 years, I now prefer my Packards stock!

That YouTube video of the '41 120 hot rod was interesting for a number of reasons, not the least of which was how misaligned the trunk lid was. The California lift treatment in the rear does not complement this car at all; I think it would have been more effective to keep the car leveled.

Of all of the colors to use on a rod such as this, I think white is not a good choice. Something like a maroon or dark blue would have accentuate the chrome a lot more and would have been more in keeping with the car's roots.

But then again, what do I know? My car is restored as an original, not turned into a rod. I am not so sure that it is such a terrible thing to rescue a car destined for crusher and turn it into something the owner has always wanted. At least that way people are able to see what a Packard basically looked like and if they are interested, then they can pursue an original.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...
