I think it depends on how much damage was done by lowering it. Would a postwar 327 fit? Might have to go that route, cause bringing it back to original specs might be a costly endeavor. It also depends on what the seller thinks it's worth in the current state.

1947 Limousine without rear quarter windows. Don't know if it was done when the car was built or after the fact.

On the hot rod '36, the body has been chopped too, so probably unsalvageable. It would look cool with a Packard V8 or a blown Packard 356 in it though!

I also had a brief shock - the '37 120 for sale in California looks very similar to a picture of my car from 2015, when I bought it. Closer inspection revealed a few differences though. Phew!

The 1954 appears to be in relatively good condition and the guy has a number of other Packards sitting around so odd that he would think that an ARA unit was factory A/C!

Slim CL pickings of late, either they're keeping their Packards or they found another free venue since five bucks a month is too much to pay CL.

The 1952 is interesting and even tempting but odd all the rear fender scoops! There are five per side so clearly someone liked them enough to add extras. Also, the 1956 is not far from where I bought my very first Packard in the mid-60s.
