Ha! That is exactly my plan when I win the world's biggest lottery ever. Buy up all the poor cars that have been "wronged" and transform them into something more palatable.

The title is missing, so how much would you deduct (if anything) from the asking price for taking on the risk of questionable ownership?

Hello all, Just a question on this "Title" thing which raises it head on numerous occasions in this thread. In Australia...if you buy a car/wreck whatever out of some dudes garbage tip....you are lucky if you get any documentation at all. When you spend Mega dollars on the restoration and do not have a "Transfer of Ownership" document, then you need to fill in a Statutory Declaration to say that the car is yours, was purchased from some dude you could not remember 30 years ago, and you don't know of any other legitimate claims , etc,....or words to that effect. So what happens in the US if you buy a Zero dollar car with no title and spend money one it. Are there sites that will check this out for you before the event? Just curious...PT

Without a title the car could of been stolen, and if the rightful owner shows up and you can't show him a title you basically lose the car to him.

Ok here's a barnfind 38 eight (120). I never knew that the break light had the word "packard" on it.

It's not a "break" light (brake?), it's a license plate light. It said "Packard" for both 1938 and 1939. Color changed from red to clear for 1939.

West the misspelling was a typical case of "fat finger syndrome"

1936 120 touring coupe. I think he might be misinformed about the number of junior touring coupes made. This 1 has the rare artillerie style wheels, IIRC it's the last year they were an option.
