Things were looking so good on the 38 Super Eight until I got to the photos of the engine compartment. What a shame.

1947 Clipper Six. I always worry when the asking price gets close to scrap value...

The coupes are rare, even more so the coops. Coops usually came with chickens.

Is there a way to tell from the pictures if it's a standard, super or custom eight?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you

Probably a Deluxe Eight. Not a Custom. Nice looking Club Sedan.

(o{}o)

Nope, not a Deluxe but a Standard according to the Model Info info.

Hi

"Coop" Got to love the English usage in Craigslist ads, sometimes I can't stop laughing when it hits me just right.... Coops are where ordinary chickens stay, club coops only admit certain chickens that meet their standards....!

Back to the subject at hand:

A '40 Custom Super Eight 1807 Touring Sedan, a very choice model for restoration, looks solid:

A '41 110 'kit', some assembly required:
http://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/4853303420.html

A '47 Clipper Deluxe, looks like a hard 67K miles...:
http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/4848118537.html

A '50 Super Eight, project, nicer 23rd Series proportions:
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/4844042647.html

A '50 Super Deluxe Eight, Custom proportions, ready-to-enjoy, could be a great tour car:

A '50 Eight Deluxe, pretty green, ready-to-enjoy:

That '40 would be one fine project to take on!
