I also found a little broshure that was tied to the clock. I scanned it and here is the front page of it. The pages were very brittle almost like butterfly wings, but I was able to scan it all.

Frank,

Great little piece of automobile memorabilia with that brochure and a great connection to the car Look after it.

Thanks for the advice by Rusty 0/toole, about removing the whole front end as an assembly. I already removed the grill and bumpers. The next step is to tackle the fenders; I have two strong 13 year old sons that are working on this with me, we are going to give it a shot this sunday. I'm wondering if having removed the grill won't weaken to whole assembly. If it does I'll remove it in pieces.

The grille is made of potmetal. So removing it is the best case senario as they dont like to bend or twist without breaking! The core support is the really the keystone in the front end sheetmetal.

If you work around the gas tank look for a, probably very fragile, piece of folded paper between the filler neck and the vent tube. I have one from my convertible. It is a build sheet for your car.

After a long break with some other urgent business I'm back to my project. I've completely disassembled the interior and will give it a good pressure washing before I start to scrape and prepare for painting. Incidentally, I have looked for that piece of paper around the gas intake, but have not located anything. Here's a picture of the dismantled interior.

The build slip which would have been inserted between the gas tank filler and vent pipes in 1950 would have been the chassis build slip. The final assembly slip was placed above the glove box.
