Is anyone using a zinc additive with either synthetic or natural oil? Mention was made that Mobil 1, at least sometime in the past, had zinc from the refinery. Does it still?

Amsoil makes strong claims about long life, etc. Has anyone experience with it?

When gasoline was still below $1.00 a gallon, a friend had a fuel oil business (home heating oil). He tried Amsoil and found it saved a couple of gallons of gasoline every day. It also burned about a quart a day of oil. Since one quart was more expensive than two gallons of gas, he only tried it once.
