A friend found a 54 Pacific in a 2-3 condition for sale. It's better than a #3 and not as good as a #2 but,! it has the original factory interior still in very good condition. I think that is really neat and should increase the value of the car I told him, at least IMO. Paint and chrome are 8-9 out of a 10. Undercarriage is #3 condition and engine area is not super clean but presentable even with original paint & decals on air cleaner with patina and wear. He can buy it for $14K and I told him to do it. I just always like to hear you guy's opinion as you know way more than I do. Heck I think it would bring around $20K.

Verify that it has the big engine (359).
If so, it's a good buy.
I really like Pacifics.

I am new to the forum and have a 1954 Pacific Custom convertible. I really love the car but need a mechanic around Kansas City to assist me with getting some electrical issues fixed. Anyone have someone they would recommend? Thanks!

I am assuming without looking it up the a '6' motor is 9 bearings and a '4' is a 327 five bearing .. like the motor i am looking for would be a K4289... for my 200 deluxe 52 which came with the bigger engine. it has a J2xxxx ( 51 288 ) in it now.. but i have seen the year letter with a '3" and 4 and 6 my car did not come with a nine bearing motor , those started in 53 if i am
correct . which i may not be

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking but the 9 main bearing 327 engine was introduced in 1951 as the successor to the 9 main bearing 356 engine and used only in the Patrician.
