Packard engine and Transmission

Hello Packard fans. We have a straight 8 vin# B 315019 A and a transmission that goes with it. The engine is painted green and appears to be new paint. We believe that it was a rebuilt engine. We got it in a land purchase. The engine was covered in the barn. We are in Houston, Texas and would like to sell it. I can send photos of whatever you request. The transmission has 3 levers on it 2 on the right and 1 short on the left. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. We hope someone can give it a good home. Thanks.

Yes, you are on the right site. Your engine number indicates it was originally in a 1939 One-Twenty, 282 cu. in. in-line 8-cylinder. The "A" suffix probably means it was originally fitted with a Borg & Beck clutch, instead of the Long normally used. Description of the transmission levers would indicate that it has an overdrive. Two levers on driver side for transmission and one lever on passenger side for overdrive lockout. Does it have any accessories like water pump, manifolds, distributor, starter, generator, carburetor? Does the transmission have a solenoid and governor? Some photos would be most useful.
