not a GM person, but the shaft is probably smaller and they bush it, and drill the GM shift rod, for sector bolt

Could be. Mounting is probably the least of the issue. With the different shift layout I'm more curious if they made a new finger assy or if the detent spacing is so close they were able to use the Packard item by just changing the wires around for the different positions.

I have a adapter as well I cant wait to see what that will run like with the v8.

What trans are people running? TH400/700R4/4l60/4l80/6l80/8l90??
