My good friend Steve Babinsky is urgently seeking technical information, and especially wiring diagrams, for limousine intercom systems made by the Dictograph Corp. and used in Packards, Chryslers, Lincoln, Cadillacs, and possibly other makes between 1934 and perhaps as late as 1940.

If anyone has any info on the Dictograph system or even thinks they might know who does, would you please contact Steve at his shop, Automotive Restorations, at 908-236-6400. Many thanks for whatever help you can offer.

I would also like any information available. Our car is a 1930 740 Limo which has the Dictograph system I have the parts but no information and will be ready to install it soon. If anyone has this information could you post it here please? I guess the 740 Dictgraph is the same as that used on the later models.

DavidM, I don't believe that is the case.

In response to the originally posted question, the sketch below shows the wiring for the 740 Dictagraph intercom plus other wiring to be installed before the headlining is fitted. As noted this may not apply to the later models.
The Dictagraph now works after some expert assistance that involved repacking the microphone carbon granules.

The microphone shown in the following attachment is identical to the one in the 1930 Packard 740 limousine:

Also attached is some additional information on the the Dictagraph phones
