Sold my 51 300 and just purchased a rusted out 1941 120.
Are the 1940 and 1941 120 rear fenders interchangable?

I do not know if they are interchangeable but hopefully the part numbers will help in your search. The 1940 Preliminary Parts book lists: Rear Fender Assy. 342930 for 1800-1-3-4-6-7 for the right side & 342942 also for the 1805-8 Right side. 342931 for 1800-1-3-4-6-7 for the left side & 342943 also for 1805-8 left side.

If you can get Part numbers for the 1941 your problem will be solved.

I'm looking at the 1941 parts list for rear fenders - seems you need the body style to get the rear fender part numbers?

1940 rear fenders are totally different from 1941.
