I am trying to find out more about the history of my car. According to the book "The Magnificent Packard Twelve of 1934" from Ed Blend the car belonged
in 1977 to John Parker from Oregon and
was bought by Norman Herstein around 1982.

Who knows John Parker from Oregon or his relatives or any of the former owners.

Car Information:
VIN 735 49
Delivery Date 10/20/34
Delivered By P.M.C. CO. 11th Ave.
Engine No. 901787

Can't help with the history, but the car was recently sold by the Dragones and exported; with so few 34 Twelves in circulation I'm guessing you're the new owner and you've already discussed the prior history with Jim Pearsall. You might consider making contact with members of the club in the region that covers Oregon (P.N.R.).

You are very well informed. I bought the car in June from Dragone?s and it has been shipped to Germany. It arrived on 1th September 2014. I contactedhttp://www.packardsoforegon.org/ and wait for an answer.

G'day Packard1934,
It's to PackardInfo, even though you've been a member for quite some time, because these are your first posts.
And for including your '34 Eight Sedan Limo in the Registry. Trust you'll also include the Twelve?

I spoke with Fred about this post and here is some of his insight on the car he believes it was last owned by Tom Kerr:

Per Fred K

"This car may have belonged to Tom Kerr,1507 Prospect Ave Bethlehem PA. Fred and Dan's 1930 Speedster Roadster came from 1505 Prospect"

Thanks
James

James, that's quite likely as several other Tom Kerr Packards were included in the recent Dragone auction. Dr. A. should give Tom a call if he hasn't already.

I talked to Tom Kerr before I bought the car. He bought it in 1982 from Norman Herstein of Seattle, Washington. They both used it at a CARavan of the Classic Car Club of America in that year. I have a telephone number of Norman and called several times. I also left a message at the answering machine, but never got a call back. Between 1982 and 1977 is a black hole. 1977 the car belonged to John Parker of Oregon according to the book from Ed Blend.
