I would like to remove the battery tray in my 48 Deluxe to clean and paint it. Does it bolt in or is it welded in ? Anyone have a picture of the installation ? Thanks

John, I think it is the same set up as my '47. Four bolts in front (two on top of frame where fuel line crosses over and two on the outer side of frame) and two bolts, top of frame at rear.

Thanks Mark - So, a total of six bolts have to be removed to take the battery tray out ?
