Hi

Ever wonder how Packard managed the different look for the '56 Patrician C-pillar? Here's what's underneath:

If you'd like a more formal look for your '51-'55 Patrician, 300 or Cavalier, here where to get the fill panel, rear window glass and trim.

Steve

It is kind of interesting how they can get a considerably different look with just a fill panel. Same with the eyebrows. Weld a hood to the 55s slant and you have a cheap and different front end look.

IMO, the rear window treatment with the wide chrome band and brushed panel looks so much more elegant than the earlier version and again gave them a lot of bang for minimal cost.

I wonder if they do much of that type change today or since everything is by robots or automatic is it just cheaper to make a new die and stamp an entire panel for a small styling difference.
