Good afternoon all...

Miss Prudence is beginning to make a bit of noise and I have a NAPA store just down the street. Does anyone know the manufacturer and part numbers for the front wheel bearings? I know I can get them from major suppliers, but it takes several days.

Ernie, there are some front wheel bearings and seals listed on the Packard Parts X-Ref (in the Main Menu). Check there to see if there is something for your 23rd series.

Don't know if your seals are the same as 47 but one thing I did find on the cross number given for 47 seals in the chart someone put together is the depth. The diameters were perfect but the Packard item was very narrow compared to the SKF cross that Napa carries. Trying to use the cross seal and they would not seat deep enough to let the hub fit back on the spindle without seal rubbing the backing plate. In case yours are the same item you might want to verify that dimension before buying any cross seals.

When was the last time/mileage that you repacked the bearings?

The original bearings are Bower or Timken.
