I have hit a 100% dead end on a pilot bearing.
The bearing in the crank is a MRC204 SF6. and it seems to cross to nothing. Getting one yesterday is not going to happen & with the recent weather, it may be spring before this car is together:(
Can anybody cross this bearing to anything?
Thanks.

Several years ago I had the pressure plate rebuilt and clutch relined at a local shop. They also supplied a bearing. A local shop should be able to help you.

Hi 55,
2 local clutch shops farm out their relines & couldn't even cross reference my clutch nor could help on the bearing.
A large bearing house also came up zip. That's when I come knocking for you guys.

kanter shows a listing but it is somewhat hard to figure if it really is a pilot bearing.

I'd ask Jack Vines, I'm sure he's dealt with this many times.

MRC204 SF6

MRC is the bearing manufacturer, the bearing is a 204 standard ball with a precision of ABEC 6.

This is the same as 204-FF, 204SZZ which is available at any auto store.

Just checked--Rock Auto has them (204FF) at $6 and $12. I do love their website. So easy to use. Always have trouble on the Napa website.

Studebaker part # 421731 is too small in OD, 1.378 for a bore that measures 1.840. :(
The 204 FF & 204 SZZ are too large in ID,
