And if all else fails I think they still make the little pine trees that hang from the mirror

Hi

Ozone treatment has one very necessary purpose these day: to rid smoker's used cars of that nasty odor so the car can be made salable again. With less than twenty percent of the population smokers now, any used car beset with that stale smoke odor is bypassed by most used car customers unless they just happen to be smokers too. At the auto auction, among other checks to appraise the condition of a used car is a good sniff.

Last month I've bought a German beauty, intended to use as daily driver. Its former owner had a cocker spaniel (picture attached). I like dogs but I don't like cars with the smell of a wet dog. Ozone treatment completely neutralized the musty odor. The result is beyond reproach.

This must be one of the most interesting and funny threads here! Anyway, before using one of these ozone devices, be sure to read what the EPA has to say as ozone is a poison of sorts.

Working in the medical field, I've seen Ozone generators used in disinfecting/deodorizing discharged patient rooms and sterilization procedures.

Baking soda on the floors. Mix viniger and water, more viniger in a spray bottle. Spray the floors, watch it bubble. Let sit in the sun with the doors open. In a couple days the viniger smell will evaporate, vacume up the soda.

I'm doing this now on a o/t car after I shampooed it & a wet rag smell appeared because I did not take all the water out the carpet. This method is killing the mold or bacteria that made the wet rag smell

During the last decade laboratories around the world exchanged highly toxic disinfectants and biocides like formaldehydes and ammonia gases for ozone desinfectors. The same applies to EPA laboratories.

Today was a hot day in Germany. When opening the sun-exposed car I hesitated to get in, expecting a return of the old smell - but there is nothing left.
