Bill Hirsch would be my choice, he's probably sold more Caribbean tops than anyone else. Parts book lists either white or black for the 54 Caribbean; for the 53 Carib they only list a single part # without specifying the color so I expect white was the only offering.

Boy, that caught me by surprise, Bill Hirsch probably advertises his parts and services more widely than most anyone in the hobby! Is there a publication he doesn't advertise in? Nice guy, you'll enjoy dealing with him - very knowledgeable on fabrics, leathers, tops, etc., he's been supplying the hobby for over 50 years.

The 1953 Caribbean didn't use canvas as the top material. It used white Orlon with a white inside facing.

And unlike a very well-publicized, expensive Caribbean seen recently on the internet, Caribbean convertible top frame and bows were also white, not black.

Depends on how correct you want to be. If correctness matters, a white synthetic top, white bows, and pads to match the inner top color. You might chat with Bill Hirsch and Eric Haartz about choices of top materials, Orlon is NLA as far as I know.

PS, the bows are not a "pure" white but more white than ivory.
