Do I have to pull the engine of my '41 120 to remove the oil pan?

No. Dropping the pan for cleaning was a routine annual maintenance job; you may have to rotate the crankshaft a bit for the counterweights to clear the front of the pan, and you may have to lower some of the steering linkage - not sure about that but someone else will have details. In any case a pretty easy job.

I cleaned out the pan on my '41 120 this past spring and did not have to drop any of the steering linkage out of the way. Just had to rotate the engine to move the forward counterweight out of the way. Once the counterweight was rotated out of the way, the pan slipped right out.

If your front motor mount has drooped, that prevents you from being able to get to the front pan bolts. If that's what's preventing you from removing the pan, lift the engine an inch or so.

Everyone,
Thanks a million. I was all ready to pull the engine. Your advise will save me a bunch of time.
