O.K, so the Egyptian ornament was only offered '48-'50 to commemorate the 50th anniversary? Does anyone make a repo?

I don't know if it was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary, as it was used on 22nd and 23rd series cars. But I am also rather sure that no one makes reproductions. They're quite rare and you'd have to try to find an original one. eBay is always where I look, one comes up every so often. Are you looking to replace one you have?

Thanks for the info. I've found one and purchased it. I was just curious about the backstory. I've hears they were an optional accessory available through dealers only. Word is they were to commemorate the Golden Anniversary of Packard.
