I was watching TV a couple of evenings ago, and saw preview "blurbs" for a new movie entitled CAROL, and in one scene there was a 22nd series in the back ground and in another scene , a 21st series. just caught a front end view. Has anyone seen the movie?

Based on your question, I ordered the movie from my public library. After a many months wait, it came in yesterday. This movie has more Packards in it than any other film I have ever seen (and old movies are my other hobby). It was filmed in Cincinnati and the Production Designer must have contacted the local Packard Club. The story takes place in 1952-1953. Bathtubs and Clippers galore. The main 'car character' is a 23rd series gray Super Deluxe Sedan.

Please find attached the autograph card. -> Here is the story behind. Go for a ride in the 1949 Packard driven by Cate Blanchett in 'Carol'. Not to be able to get enough? Then -> this way please.

I'm told "Cafe Society," Woody Allen's latest film, set in '30s Hollywood, has several Packards. I grabbed this from the French trailer. Not Packards, but you apparently do get a good look at the cars. And since it's about Hollywood, there's a good chance there are Packards, too.

As I said in an earlier post, the Packards seen in Carol are given final credits as sourced from Citizens Motors in Dayton OH. I think that I originally counted seven or eight distinctive Packards, including the starring non-Ultramatic one driven by Cate/Carol.

There are even more in the movie Life, available currently on Netflix. If you see this film about James Dean's final months with a Life magazine photographer, the distinctive Packard count may approach a dozen. At minute 40 in this film, there are three 1956s together, making Dean's death in the Spring of 1955 somewhat problematic. No source credits are given for these Packards.
