Unless he owns the crane company that is a substantial sum every time he wants to go driving. Maybe he admires looking at old cars instead of old masters.

There was a luxury apt building in Singapore that was profiled on one of the TV shows. I forget how many stories but it was in the teens. Each apartment has a garage space right outside the unit. Option is for a solid wall separating the living space from the garage space or a glass wall so you can admire your beauty.

When you arrive home, as you approach the car entrance the door rolls up so you can drive into a space and onto a platform to get out of the car. Place your key in the passenger elevator and while it summons the elevator, a moving track thingy is sent for and automatically comes for the car and takes it to a car elevator. By the time you reach your apt the car is waiting or will be there shortly. You remove any parcels and sacks etc out of the car and go right into your unit.

In the show there was not one Toyota or mundane car to be seen at the building. Plenty of Rolls and Mercedes though. The apt shown with a glass wall for viewing had a Ferrari as the eye candy.

When you want to leave the apt, push a button and the lift arrives to take your car down to the platform while you take the passenger elevator down. They did say that if everybody leaves at the same time there could be a traffic jam so it is first called, first to the platform. If you are delayed in taking your car some of your neighbors could get upset so after a few minutes if you are not there the car goes to a holding space and you wait until everyone else in the que is taken care of.
