Henry, I had a local truck/commercial clutch and brake shop apply new linings on the shoes of my 47 Custom. They glued (bonded) the linings to the shoes. They also turned (ground) the drums. I would be surprised if there were not a like kind of shop near to you. Keep the updates coming.

still have not done anything with the brake pads yet. working on that.

any suggestions on what is missing, what is custom, and how to adjust these headlights cause they pretty much point to the sky.

Hank,

Looks like your headlights have been retrofitted to use the then modern sealed beam bulbs.

The original multi-piece headlights (reflector, bulb, and lens) are scarce. See what David F. has to offer.

Be careful with the lens as they are ground for right- and left-hand sides.

I have the bulbs if and when you need them. I'll even through in a spare set. No charge.

There is a nut under the headlight housing. Loosen it and you can adjust the beam.

Glad to see you back "Packarding". I have been "Avanting".

I'm okay with the halogens, I just wasn't sure how to get them to stop beaming to the stars. I wasn't sure if that nut allowed for up/down adjustments. Is there a left/right on the factory setup? Pretty sure I lost that capability with the retrofit.

Never mind. Didn't realize loosening that nut would allow the light to move left and right as well as up and down. Headlights adjust perfectly now.

new E-Spec replacable bulb headlights installed. looks a lot more like original now vs those DOT wagner sealed beams that were in it.

I ordered the wiring harness for it, so be looking for that fun soon.

also replaced the crapped out electric fuel pump on it with a generic MR. Gasket 12s model. it is for priming after sitting for a long time. it help out tremendously. no more cranking and cranking. I suspect the mechanical pump is draining back to the tank, but no yet weak enough to not run the car by itself. it will need a rebuild soon I'm sure.

can anyone guess as to what I'm going to build with these small components?
