Thought y'all would enjoy seeing this car before it is spruced up for display. Wasn't able to get the info on the data tags.

Nice car although I can't brag about the color. It looks like an eight, cause the super 8 had bigger dampers on the bumper ends IIRC.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you

It's an Eight, 1101. Headlamps another identifying feature.

Yes, it is an EIGHT. The bumper ends and as Owen notes the headlamp glass. With a Su8 or Twelve the lens has a V-shape to match the grille shell. The Twelve headlamp bucket and fender lamps had a small fin top and bottom.

Two things about the car. One, my guess is that tan/with chocolate trim paint job was done in the late 70s or early 80s when that combo was the trend. Now it looks stale. Actually surprised it did not come with the ubiquitous orange painted wire wheels and pinstripping.

Two, those fender lights are wrong - they come from an earlier car, say 1930.

Yes I knew about the V-shaped lenses for the V12 but wasn't sure if the su8 had them as well. I personally don't care much about fenderlight, I like the clean look without them.

About the colors, I'm suprised that the fenders are not chocolate brown. But all in all its a beautiful car and I wouldn't mind to have it in my garage.
