I was wondering if there are any good pictures of the AC compressor bracket for the later st.8 engines?

The best and simplest bracket I have seen is the one Ross builds for a modern Sanden compressor. Perhaps someone remembers the post and can provide a link where he showed a few views. Believe the photos were posted around October, 2013 since that is the date on the copies I kept. I would repost them but since they are Ross's photos better if he does it with the details or someone links to the original post.

I do have a few photos of other brackets that have appeared on various forums or posts but after seeing how Ross did it the others are cumbersome and almost a waste of material. After you see Ross's, if you still want to see them I will post a couple.

The bigger issue is the driving pulley on the crank. Not difficult if you do not have PS but if your car already has PS it gets more involved. I don't remember if Ross covered the pulley.

No power steering, but might like to have AC someday.

That's it so Mal to the rescue again. I searched for that thread using various forms of compressor bracket with my usual lack of success.

Great picture Mal, just what I was looking for. I started going through the 2013 threads, but only got as far as March......
So if you have power steering, does that mean you have to give up the optional oil filter? Or does it relocate to another position further back on the block?

On an S8 the oil filters are all in the same place. The PS pump is sandwiched between the generator and filter.

I guess looking at the power steering canister, it would be ahead enough for the oil filter to still mount in the usual place.
