Re-cored the rad in my 1951 Packard 200 one year ago. Using the original tanks the cost was just under $900.00 US. but now on long drives and hot weather occasions the temp is always below the middle of the temp gauge and, to me, the cost is a good trade off for the peace of mind. Additionally, I did remove the water tube and flush the engine and my water pump rebuilt locally.
